It was surreal. There was no other way to really describe it. A week ago, Kurt had been back at McKinley after transferring back there with a heart full of hope that things would be better, and now, in a weird twist of fate, he was back at Dalton, back in the blazer, lying on a Dalton crested blanket in the grounds of the private school on his stomach, arm wrapped securely around his boyfriend's belly as he gazed into his eyes. Just a few moments before, they had both been lying on their backs watching the clouds pass in the blue sky, but then Kurt had rolled over onto his stomach to kiss Blaine slowly and lethargically. Now he was just watching him, the tips of his fingers on his other hand sweeping over some fading yellowing bruising on Blaine's temple and cheek. It had been a week since the injuries occurred; injuries that should never have damn well happened.

"You're my hero, you know that?" he told him. Maybe it was cheesy, but it was true. The McKinley prom had been such a rollercoaster of emotions. Bad, very bad, worse, even more worse, amazing, beautiful, hopeful, and then terrifying. After the ballot fixing to elect Kurt Prom Queen, he had been mortified, but then Blaine stepped into catch him just when he felt like he was about to fall. If only it was the last time Blaine had to play White Knight that evening. The result was under Kurt's fingertips, and the biggest reason why Kurt Hummel again - and for good this time - washed his hands of William McKinley High School and went back to Dalton with his man. As far as he was concerned, this was how it was meant to be.

[POSTING ORDER: Kurt, Blaine, Puck, Mike]

Mike put his hand up and scratched the back of his head. "I'm not really the best singer..." he had to offer, feeling self-conscious. "Dancing has always sort of been more my thing. In saying that, being on New Directions, I have an extreme about of experience being background noise, so will that work okay? You guys mostly just have you has lead, right? Then everyone else backs you up? I can do that," he decided with a confident nod, even if his stomach was flip-flopping nervously that he would be the only one not good enough to be a Warbler.

He looked between Kurt and Blaine for a moment, surprised at Blaine's disjointed confession. "You guys aren't doing it? Seriously? Okay, my bad for assuming you were. It's awesome you're waiting. Nothing wrong with that. I mean, I'm still a virgin too," he said with a shrug. "You guys just seem so close and perfect together. That's all."

Blaine was nodding enthusiastically at Kurt's explanation and gave his boyfriend's hand a squeeze. He looked between Puck and Mike and grinned. "You'll love it, I swear. The guys really are great. And we're still a show choir, we just have a different style. It's true, though. We more function as a team, as a unit, than how it seems New Directions runs. I mean, I don't know for sure. I only know what Kurt has told me, but it seems pretty intense on the whole... lack of fairness things. Your teacher seems to have favourites or something. The Warblers are run by a council. Members elected, and they make the choices. No teachers. Plus, there are three of them. So it's always a fair vote."

"But we still make out. A lot," he felt the need to clarify quickly and with a lot of emphasis. And it was really amazing, and he had been jerking off so much more since he started dating Kurt than he ever had in his whole life, but even that felt better with Kurt to think about and not just random faceless guys, or maybe occasionally Daniel Radcliffe or Orlando Bloom.

"Sounds like the right kinda place for us, then," Puck said firmly. He was seriously ready to get involved in a team that worked as just that: a team. "It'll be cool to be in a group where it's student-led, too. I get really sick of adults telling me what to do all the time. It's alot better when it's a team and we're working that way, you know?"

Yes, Puck was definitely sick of adults telling him what to do, but then again? He always had been. He fell silent for a little while, letting himself chill out. It was nice to be back with his best friend. They really hadn't gotten to spend much time together lately, what with Kurt being back at Dalton and Blaine not making random trips to Lima as often as he used to.

Puck smirked just a little. As resident manslut, he really didn't know all that much about not doing stuff. Still, if Kurt and Blaine could somehow manage not to? More power to them. With a shrug, he said, "Whatever works for you, man... And what works for me is figuring out where the chicks are. You think Mike's roommate'll share the trade secrets with a brother?"

Listening to Kurt and Blaine explain about the Warblers made a lot of sense, and Mike nodded. "It's sounds cool, and seriously, you guys look way awesome. First time we all saw you perform, we were sure you had it in the bag. No bells, no whistles, that means it's all raw talent, and that's intense in a glee comp. Does Dalton have any sort of dance program though? I never even thought to ask. What else do you guys do other than the Warblers and football?"

"So, what's your mailman?" he blatantly asking Blaine with a smirk. The guy was head over for Kurt, and vice-versa. He had to have something that was his proverbial cold shower to get through all the make-out sessions they were having. Teenage guys had no control over certain portions of the anatomy. Unless you wanted to ruin a whole heap of pants, everyone had their mailman to get them through. And then he looked at Puck with a laugh. "Dude, you get to put up with Blaine jerking off on a regular basis when Kurt here gets him all riled up."

Blaine was nodding to at Kurt's list. At least, until he reached the boxing part, which just caused Blaine to clear his throat softly and glance up at the school. There were maybe one or two extra-curricular activities Blaine had revealed to Kurt just yet. "And polo. I do fencing and polo... they're pretty cool. But I've done polo for years. My grandfather used to play and it was something he sort of passed on to me before he died. Dalton's pretty heavy on the arts and sports. Kurt told me McKinley is pretty focused on football and cheerleader, but we have a lot more to offer here. They're all great ways to get to know other students too. The curriculum is pretty intense, so it's nice to have stuff to balance that out."

He paused in his walking and looked between the three of them, blinking. "Mailman? Is this, like, a roleplay sort of thing, because I don't think I'm really into anything like that..." Of course, the fantasies about Kurt in tight leather might count, but he wasn't about to verbalise those.

[identity profile] jewhawk.livejournal.com 2011-12-11 07:16 pm (UTC)(link)
"Boxing?" Puck asked. "That sounds awesome. Lacrosse, too. You guys have some serious sports going on here... I guess I thought Dalton would be some... Some kinda artsy-fartsy place with no sports and shit." He was just a little nervous, though. He had never been the most academic of people, and if the curriculum was that hard? Well, he wasn't sure he could hang with the big boys.

Puck shook his head at Blaine's question. "Nope... Not at all... Mailman is like..." He paused, glancing at Mike. "It's like a cold shower turn off kind of thing... It's called the mailman cuz Finn hit one once when he was learning to drive, and it's what he thinks of to... um... control shit," he said with a smirk. "I mean, I don't really need one, but most dudes do." It was a lie. A complete and utter lie. He totally needed a mailman, but nobody needed to know that.

[identity profile] justwants2dance.livejournal.com 2011-12-13 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
"This place sounds totally cool" Mike enthused with a grin as he looked at the buildings as they approached in awe. "Dude, just think. If Kurt never came to spy on the Warblers, he wouldn't have met Blaine, and we'd be stuck at McKinley with the wankers forever. Blaine, are you okay, man? I've been totally worrying about you since what happened at prom. I didn't know if you wanted us to bring it up or anything, but are you doing okay? It's gotta be better now Kurt's back here with you right? I feel bad, like we should've all been there to protect you guys."

He nodded, smirking and then gave Puck a companionable shove in the arm. "Dude, don't lie. We all have a mail man. And Kurt's gonna totally lie and say he doesn't, but every dude has one."

[identity profile] rockstarwarbler.livejournal.com 2011-12-13 03:41 am (UTC)(link)
Blaine gave a small shrug and cleared his throat in embarrassment. "It just brought back a lot of memories, that's all. Plus, it's sort of hard to deal and pretend you're okay when your head is hurting like a fucking bitch. I'll be fine. I'm glad I was there, I wouldn't change it for anything. But yeah, I'm definitely glad Kurt's back here at Dalton with me. Beyond glad."

He just listened, awed, and then did a small double-take at Kurt when he said that. Kurt had a mailman? Okay, that was really totally hot. "You do? Really?" But then he just beamed at Kurt's compliment and grinned bashfully, looking down at his shoes, clearly pleased he boyfriend found him that attractive. "I don't have one. I mean, I literally just have cold showers."

"Dude, I wanted to fuck those dudes up" Puck said angrily. He didn't reveal that he'd managed to get one of them a mouth full of dirt before Figgins had shown up and forced them to break it up. That hadn't been too long before things went to hell for him at McKinley, too. He had just been so angry and hurt about how things had gone and how not one single adult had bothered to give a fuck about Blaine when he really needed for them to.

"From what they tell me," Puck said, still clearly denying having a mailman of his own. "If you think about your mailman, it calms you down enough so you can keep making out or whatever...."

[identity profile] justwants2dance.livejournal.com 2011-12-16 01:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Mike looked from Blaine to Puck and then back again before glancing at Kurt to see how he was responding to the topic of conversation. It had been really full-on what went down after prom. The whole prom queen thing had been intense enough, but Kurt and totally pwned that and everything thought it was going to be okay. Boy, had they been wrong. Blaine copped the whole brunt, the homophobic bastards blaming him for Kurt being even more gay than ever. It was sick, and Mike literally felt nauseated thinking about it. "Puck, you can't risk juvie again," he pointed out quietly. "In fact, I'm pretty glad you didn't get there until after the fact, even if you lost it a bit when you saw Blaine was so hurt..."

"Not always, though," he had to add as a disclaimer. Seriously, his mailman only had about a 70% success rate these days.

[identity profile] rockstarwarbler.livejournal.com 2011-12-16 02:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Blaine just bit his lip and held his hand up. "It's okay, Puck," he mumbled quietly. Like he wanted any of his friends to land in prison or arrested because of him. Sure, at the time, he had been a mess. He coped by pretty much just shutting down to cop it, but luckily Mr Schue and Figgins arrived to break it up before Blaine got seriously hurt. Kurt's attempts to stop it had fallen on deaf ears, but it had been his screaming for help that stopped Blaine getting anything more than a concussion. He had just been terrified. When push came to shove, despite knowing boxing, it was just emotional reaction. "It was just one of those things. It's not like we're not aware that stuff can happen..." And then some.

Oh god, and now Kurt was talking about erections. Maybe not in so many words, but he was definitely implying and Blaine had to internally battle not to think about Kurt with an erection so he didn't need to bust out a mailman of his own right then and there. Yes, he had felt Kurt through his trousers when they made out. They felt each other, but Blaine hadn't seen it yet, but boy did he want to. He felt a faint heat creep into his cheeks and tried to will it away. "I guess that's why we need an avenue of, um... relief," he offered, aiming for nonchalance.

[identity profile] jewhawk.livejournal.com 2011-12-17 11:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Puck abruptly shut his mouth. Blaine didn't need to know that several times over the last little while, he'd almost gone back to juvie... If he'd kept it up for another few months, he would've gotten a one-way ticket to big boy prison, too. He knew that much, but he was hoping like hell that Dalton was going to help things. It was more straightlaced than McKinley, but then again, there was zero tolerance for dickheads like the guys at McKinley who'd done this to Blaine, so he probably wouldn't find himself quite so pissed off here in general. "Yeah, I know," Puck replied. "It just..." Sucks, he was going to say, but there was really no point. The knowledge that it sucked was shared by everyone involved in this conversation, so... It hardly mattered to say it.

"Yep," Puck said with a grin. "Come on, Kurt," Puck said with a grin. "Tell us what your mailman is!"
