What? In which Sebastian's queer eye finds a not-straight guy...
When? Friday afternoon, after Warblers' practice
Where? In the Warblers practice room.
Rating: Could be anything

Since Jeff and Nick's not-quite-fight a while ago, Jeff had to admit that things had been strained between him and his best friend. They'd chatted a little, tried to keep things as normal as possible between them, and, as far as Jeff could tell? Failed miserably. He hated the way it felt having normal conversations with Nick, but not feeling normal about them in the least. The smiles that used to pass so easily between the two of them now felt forced, unnatural... And Jeff was tired of it. He was tired of feeling like he didn't have a best friend anymore, but an acquaintance, and he was tired of things bothering him that shouldn't. Nick was his best friend. He should be happy that Nick had a girlfriend, and a really nice one at that, who really seemed to like him a lot. He should be thrilled that they were talking about taking their relationship to the next level. But he wasn't, and he couldn't even begin to put a finger on why.

Warblers practice had been longer than usual, with a rendition of Jeff's favorite Beach Boys song, "In My Room," which he'd grown up listening to with his dad for most of his life. In fact, as a child, it had been one of his lullabies, and it always reminded him of home. Home, which he was really missing these days, since his dorm room with Nick had lost the feeling of home it used to have to him.

At the end of practice, Nick had gone off with Blaine, Kurt, and Mike to grab dinner before the caf closed for the night, and invited Jeff along, but the blonde had thanked him, but said no. He wasn't even sure why, if he really asked himself about it deep down.

Still, his gaze lingered on his best friend as he sank down onto the couch and watched him walk away.

What the hell was wrong with him?

He glanced up just in time to see Sebastian walking past him toward the door, and Jeff's eyes discretely took in the other boy's movement. Or at least, he thought it was discretely. He let his eyes trace over Sebastian's form, unconsciously biting down on his lower lip, and wondering why it was that he was not only checking out an incredibly gorgeous guy, but getting turned on in the process.

What Jeff hadn't been expecting was for Sebastian to turn around and glance at him just as he was searching for something of a throw pillow variety to put on his lap. The blonde quickly averted his gaze and tried to make it seem as if he'd been staring at a painting on the wall.

Sebastian was finding Warblers rehearsal lately incredibly tedious and boring. He went through the motions because it would be some decent extra credit points on his record, but seriously, if they didn't stop with crappy song choices and forever sticking Blaine Anderson in lead like a hyperactive puppy on crack that bounced his hobbit ass all over the furniture, Sebastian was seriously going to have to find some other interesting extracurricular activity to entertain him. Shame that Anderson was off the market and not up for the taking to be said extracurricular activity because he was totally hot and had an ass that wouldn't quit. He might have even contemplated putting up a fight for the lead Warbler, but they were a team and it was an unwritten age-old rule not to water someone else's grass and he was forced to respect that Blaine belonged to Kurt.

He checked out of rehearsals contemplating a trip to Scandals that night just to stop himself hitting brain death. About to leave the room, Sebastian glanced back randomly just to see who was left in the room, and the sight he was met with caused him to huff out a laugh but the smirk that followed it could only be described as devious. He sauntered over to the blond beanpole slumped on one of the leather sofas and quirked an eyebrow at him. "Did you just check out my ass, Hinton?"
